In 1999 on March 06, this movement was launched in order to save the nation from a disaster and discrimination. Nobody can imagine what a disastrous atmosphere had prevailed in the education sector during that time. Chhatrobondhu Miah Abdullah Wazed former MP called upon the mass people to participate in his movement. So people joined. Diplomats and leaders from home and abroad cooperated Mr. Wazed for this movement to turn it into a social movement. Now 10 years have passed. Success is ours-Unfair means has been rooted out though not completely but overwhelmingly, disastrous atmosphere in the education sector is on the healing position. The percentage of passed students has been improved; The rate of pass of SSC examinees in 1999 was 54.13%, in 2000 41.58%, in 2001 35.22%, in 2002 41.65%, in 2003 35.91%, in 2004 48.03%, in 2005 52.57%, in 2006 62.22%, in 2007 57.37%, in 2008 72.11%, in 2009 67.41%, in 2010 79.98%. Similarly the rate of pass of HSC examinees in 1999 was 53.40%, in 2000 37.03%, in 2001 26.11%, in 2002 27.08%, in 2003 38.43%, in 2004 47.60%, in 2005 59.74%, in 2006 63.92%, in 2007 65.60%, in 2008 76.19%, in 2009 70.43%, in 2010 74.28%.Thanks to all who cooperated us, joined our movement and worked with us

1. Can anyone living anywhere in the world be member of the movement?

Yes, anyone living anywhere in the world interested in the activities of the movement can be a member by submitting a filled up form provided in the web site. Besides he/she may contact our Member Coordinator for free membership by e-mail : shameem.sarwar@gmail.com

2. What would be the role of a member?

A member may request guardians to take proper care of the study of his/her children. Moreover he/she can participate in the programme run by the organization or he/She can arrange programs on the same message.

3. Is there any committee formed outside Bangladesh?

Yes, though we have committee in the U.S.A and Italy,  international committee formation is  going on. 

4. Who have already been involved in the movement?

People of high rank and dignity of all sphere of life have already been involved proclaiming solidarity in their moral support to the movement. Thousands of members have already been involved in the organization.

5. Where did the organization take origin?

At the native village of Student Friend Miah Abdullah Wazed ex M.P, Kuti under Kasba thana of Brahmonbaria district of Bangladesh, this organization took its origin on March 6, 1999.

6. Why was the organization launched?

In order to save the disastrous educational sector, Shikkhar Maan Songrokhkhon O Nokol Protirodh Andolon (SMSONPA) was launched. It aims at the preservation of standard of education and prevention of unfair means among students.

7. Who funds the whole organization?

The whole organization is funded by the convener's family. The convener, Chhatrobondhu Miah Abdullah Wazed ex M.P is an industrialist, a noted politician and educationist. He dreams a better  world through providing proper education to the citizens. 

8. Will Student Friend Miah Abdullah Wazed accept any grant, fund, donation or money in any form from any individual, agency, government or N.G.O?

Certainly not. He humbly has been refusing such grants offered since the beginning of the organization.

9. What is Miah Abdullah Wazed's target running this big organization spending his hard earned money?

He wants the world set with proper education. His logic is that after being the education sector properly managed and the malpractices, totally prevented, a better world will emerge with development, progress and democracy.

10. Is there any harvest of nearly four years of working of the organization?

Yes, we have experienced an encouraging change in the education sector due to our activities all over Bangladesh. The tendency to unfair means among students in 1999 or before that year was rather heart breaking. The rate of pass in 1999 of the S.S.C. examinees  was 54.13, in 2000 it dropped down to 41.58, 2001 it further dropped to 35.22. In the same way the rate of pass in 1999 of the H.S.C. examinees  was 53.40, in 2000 it dropped down to 37.03 and in 2001 it further dropped down to 26.11. Students finding rare opportunity or no opportunity to adopt unfair means in examination halls due to country- wide- awareness drive aroused by Student Friend Miah Abdullah Wazed ex M.P. through distribution of  leaflets, posters, handbills and other publications and cassettes and holding meetings, semenars  from 1999 onward, got poor marks or fail marks in the examination and the rate of pass decreased each year. Though Chhatro bondhu does not want the rate of pass drop down. He wants the rate increases and a proper environment for education prevails

11. Does it take any membership fee?

No, Membership is free of charge.

Now we are trying  to prevent unfair means, to take students to study desk and to ingrain morality in the character of students by providing ethical teaching  .We believe that if we can continue the process, the number of duly passed student will increase and at the same time the standard of education will be preserved.
