In 1999 on March 06, this movement was launched in order to save the nation from a disaster and discrimination. Nobody can imagine what a disastrous atmosphere had prevailed in the education sector during that time. Our Message

Since March 6, 1999, our organization has been sending letters written by Miah Abdullah Wazed, the Convener of the movement by post, fax, e-mail to the Head of Governments, Head of States, World Leaders, Political Party Leaders, Organizational Heads, Diplomats, Educationists and Intellectuals all over the world. This is the latest letter we have been sending to the aforesaid recipients.

Dear ----

Without proper education, humanitarian feelings can hardly grow in a man. The present conflict between countries is due to an absence of proper academic education. At present we observe a disaster in academic, social and political education in many countries of the world. Unless we rescue the people of the world from this disaster, none of us can solve the present conflict between people. The conflict between rival groups, ethnic groups, political groups, in a country is one of the reasons of the instability of the world. So religious teachings must co-exist with academic education. Religious teachings emphasizing the ethical values of every religion need to be included in humanitarian and job oriented education system that can bring peace for the Human beings. We have been working diligently for our movement “Shikkhar Maan Songrokkhon O Nokol Protirodh Andolon” ( Movement for Preservation of Standard Education and Prevention of Unfair means) since 6 March 1999. I have honor to inform you that some of the prominent leaders of the world have inspired and encouraged us for the movement in their letters and e-mails of thanks. Leaders, diplomats, educationists, intellectuals, philosophers, and journalists of high levels have been accepting my message gradually. Moreover Bangladesh Government has also taken some steps in some cases utilizing my message.

I believe and hope that within the next five years we will drive away the present disaster and discrimination of education sector of Bangladesh as well as most of the countries of the world with the help of activities of our movement.

My earnest request to all concerned, “ Please ask the people of the world to educate their children with religious ethical teachings, whatsoever the religion each country practices, by the help of humanitarian, social values and job oriented education system.”

O THE CONSCIOUS GUARDIANS TO JOIN
To acquire education is a fundamental right of all human beings. An educated nation is certainly a developed nation. So for the development of the individual, society and nation we need real education. It is regrettable that students nowadays are more concerned about acquiring certificates ignoring the major objectives of education. Many students try to get the certificates in the easiest way - by resorting to unfair means. As a result the number of certificates holders is increasing day by day, but the number of real educated people is not increasing. So the whole world faces the threat of losing people of true merit. If this situation continues, a catastrophe will fall upon our national life in the near future. So, in order to show the present and future generation the right path, I request teachers, guardians and society conscious people to come forward to join SHIKKHAR MAAN SONGROKKHON O NOKOL PROTIRODH ANDOLON.

Many reasons are there for the tendency of students to resort to unfair means - we have marked 17 of them. Many a people may feel discomfort, if we take initiative to solve all of the problems now. That's why I have been asking people to form committee comprising of conscious guardians, teachers and educationists all over the world. In the meantime three hundred thana committee have been formed in Bangladesh. We have been trying to forge a social movement involving people from all walks of life. Being a guardian myself, I request all other guardians to join.

"In addition to sending your children to educational institutions, please be sure that they are attached with their study 4/5 hours a day at home in order that they become attentive in their studies."

It is certain that if students study regularly, our efforts to preserve standard of education and to prevent unfair means will be successful. There is hardly any other way or alternative measure. So come forward and let's do our duties sincerely.

Miah Abdullah Wazed
Former Member of Parliament and Convener, Shikkhar Maan Songrokkhon O Nokol Protirodh Andolon
