In 1999 on March 06, this movement was launched in order to save the nation from a disaster and discrimination. Nobody can imagine what a disastrous atmosphere had prevailed in the education sector during that time. Chhatrobondhu Miah Abdullah Wazed former MP called upon the mass people to participate in his movement. So people joined. Diplomats and leaders from home and abroad cooperated Mr. Wazed for this movement to turn it into a social movement. Now 10 years have passed. Success is ours-Unfair means has been rooted out though not completely but overwhelmingly, disastrous atmosphere in the education sector is on the healing position. The percentage of passed students has been improved; The rate of pass of SSC examinees in 1999 was 54.13%, in 2000 41.58%, in 2001 35.22%, in 2002 41.65%, in 2003 35.91%, in 2004 48.03%, in 2005 52.57%, in 2006 62.22%, in 2007 57.37%, in 2008 72.11%, in 2009 67.41%, in 2010 79.98%. Similarly the rate of pass of HSC examinees in 1999 was 53.40%, in 2000 37.03%, in 2001 26.11%, in 2002 27.08%, in 2003 38.43%, in 2004 47.60%, in 2005 59.74%, in 2006 63.92%, in 2007 65.60%, in 2008 76.19%, in 2009 70.43%, in 2010 74.28%.Thanks to all who cooperated us, joined our movement and worked with us


Moral Support

According to great people
Hundreds of thousands of people regardless of creed and caste including politicians, educationists, journalists, lawyers, policy makers of high rank and dignity have been sending their written opinion and moral support to our office, wishing an overall success of our movement.

Foreign leaders
Some of the prominent leaders of the world have inspired and encouraged Miah Abdullah Wazed ex M.P. in their letters of appreciation. They include the then US President Bill Clinton, British Prime Minister Tony Blair, French President Jacques Chirac, President of the Republic of China Chen Shui-Bian, President of the Philippines Gloria Macapagal Arroyo, President of the World Bank James D. Wolfensohn and former president of South Africa Nelson Mandela. Moreover Ambassadors and High Commissioners of many countries here in Dhaka have thanked the movement in their letters.

Meeting, Seminar
Many meetings, seminars have been held in many places of the country including Dhaka. A discussion meeting is held on every Saturday in the Head Office. Politicians, educationists, Journalists, lawyers and patrons of education have taken part in these meetings. They conveyed their support to the movement and wished it a success. Notable among them are former President Abdur Rahman Biswas, Finance Minister Saifur Rahman, B.N.P Secretary General and L.G.R.D and Cooperative Minister Abdul Mannan Bhuiyan, Health Minister Dr. Khandakar Mosharraf Hossain, Communication Minister Barrister Nazmul Huda, Education Minister Dr. Osman Faroque, Barrister Moinul Hossain, Justice Abdul Baree Sarker, Journalist late Sanawallah Noore, Gias Kamal Chowdhury, Khandaker Monirul Alam, Riazuddin Ahmed, Educationist Professor Emajuddin Ahmed, Professor Moniruzzaman Miah, Professor Mojaffar Ahmed, Dr. Saidur Rahman, Politician Rashed khan Menon and many others.

Formation of Committee
Thana committee consists of 31 members: one Convener and 30 members, Union Committee consists of 21 members, One convener and 20 members. Anyone regardless of caste and creed may join in the committee. The present number of members is several thousands.

Fund
Miah Abdullah Wazed: I have been working hard on this movement in order to save the nation from a disaster in the education sector and on the other hand spending my hard earned money. In the meantime some donors have proposed to fund it. I humbly said that is was not possible for me to accept the money from them. I have been spending from my family fund. Moreover posters, cassettes, leaflets, advertisements, etc. have been distributed by the courtesy of Millat Pharmaceuticals Ltd. of which I am the Chairman and Managing Director.
