“Mia A. Wazed is a veteran politician. He was elected as MP two times ( 5 th and 6 th National Elections) from Bangladesh Nationalist Party. He firmly believes that politics is for the welfare of the common people. He emphasizes on the need of mass education to improve the lot of the people -----.

There is in fact very few politicians in our country who care for learning and learners. More and more people should come forward to improve the overall educational scenario of the country. We may believe that the movement of Miah Abdullah Wazed would usher good days for the present as well as ensuing generations.”

----------“attending that program, I realized I did not mistake, rather if the people like Miah Abdullah Wazed had come forward from various segment of the society, we would have saved our examination system from the curse of unfair means, we would have recovered our degraded educational standard- this idea got vitalized in me.----- I came to know him as my colleague of 5 th National Parliament. He came out from a very common level (humble origin) and studied up to class five, he has no academic education but he, known to his people as Abdu Miah, acquired education from his own life, not only that, got up high on the stair of life but did not tread his own people, did not leave unattended. For this reason, what he acquired he wants to spend for giving the countrymen a real life. It is true that it is possible to do it on one's own effort but somebody must initiate. He has initiated.

The activists of his movement Shikkhar Maan Songrokkhon O Nokol Protirodh Andolon have titled him Chhatrobondhu ( Student friend). He wants the students come back to life, so who deserves to be better friend than him to the students. If the students find a friend through this movement, that would be beneficial to he students themselves as well as the nation.

---- in that program Abdu Miah pronounced a dire warning to the rich people, politicians, bureaucrats, businessmen and leaders of the society. He said, they think that their children after completion of their study in abroad will act for them at home. This is wrong. Because whereas 90% of the people being educated in this system will be terrorist, corrupted, duplicate ( not real) men, the so safe educated in abroad people living at home will be custodianed by those terrorists or will be forced to live the native land.” -------

---"Another noble heart is Mr. Abdullah Wazed Miah from Kasba of Brahmonbaria district. Not so much educated just like a Junab Ali. Propriotor of Millat company. He has markered a few dozens of products , much advanced in riches, he did politics, became Member of Parliament. I came to know him as a leader of Prevention of unfair means. He has published poster, handbill, leaflet, sticker and has been sending to many places, have arranged discussion meetings. I do not know why I was asked to attend such a meeting, I kept his request and attended the meeting and returned with lots of solemnity and encouragement. I got his another side when I went to see a college after his name. I had no idea that he had established some schools and colleges and this made me happy. ---- I also came to know that he spent 5.6 million taka in the previous year for this unfair means prevention movement."

He set out to the unknown world with only one taka and sixty paisa. He was then 14. He was employed in the Adamjee Jute Mills as an apprentice weaver. That boy is now a fulfilled man- one of the leading entrepreneurs, one of the political figures, consecutively two times elected MP, got government assignment in the Ministry of Industries being not a Minister. He is Miah Abdullah Wazed who convened a momentous movement namely Shikkhar Maan Songrokhon O Nokol Protirodh Andolon. --------"But what a surprise! No strong movement about this is noticed all over the country yet. No power is noticed to resist or to prevent it. In the midst of deep disappointment, a name of a gentleman came to be familiar. Six years ago, he called upon a movement to prevent unfair means. Most of the people at first thought him to be a mad. Not being brokenhearted, the conveyed the message of the movement to many people - politicians, teachers, journalists, intellectuals, and general public and he focused the message to them as best as he could. The message has got to work lately, has inspired many people. A new suffix of preservation of standard education issue has been added to the movement. How much is possible to clear stalemate in education sector by one Miah Abdullah Wazed himself? We want such a kind hearted man in every house, in every locality. Otherwise the flickering torch will be extinguished; this country, nation and the future will fall in a heart of darkness."

Miah Abdullah Wazed: To deliver speech on any subject one has to acquire knowledge. Perseverance is essential to acquire knowledge. Practical knowledge and regular study opens the door of knowledge. In my professional life, I continued my study. Wherever I go, I use to take books with me. I avail any opportunity of the habit of reading books. You might have watched in worried eyes how the country was diving into a state of destruction. You might have also watched the activities of Member of Parliament and State Minister of Education from Chandpur A. N. M. Ehsanul Haque Milon. Literally he along with his assistants rescued the education from the deepest hole of destruction. In that movement, the contribution of Wazed Ali Miah, the leader of Brahmonbaria deserves mentioning. He organized a lot of seminars, distributed posters, leaflets, and stickers to create public opinion against unfair means. His movement is still going on. The boy was born in a poor family. ----- Let's hear from that boy- ( Miah Abdullah Wazed)

"I had merits, but no capabilities. I was the first boy from class one to class five but since class five I could not continue my study. From this agony, I wept much. So I got all of my six daughters and two sons highly educated. I want to see all of the people of my country educated, not hollow education, but true and equal education. I want the uniform syllabus for all the people of this country. Some will be educated in English literature, some will be expert in Bankim literature- this is not education in proper sense. We want well education that will flourish humanity, will play a vital role in professional activities, in building up a nation. We nowadays experience a discrimination in economy as well as social discrimination and if a discrimination of education is added to these already existing, our country will be destroyed. We will then be forced to import merits from abroad. Doctors and Engineers are being imported at present. Eventually we will be in a situation to import people to run the administration."-----

------"Internationally renowned Sage educationist (Former Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University) Professor Doctorate Moniruzzman Miah also says, because of the disciplinary way the social movement of Chhatrobondhu Miah Abdullah is being led, a time will come when students will hate unfair means. When asked about the social movement of Chhatrobondhu Miah Abdullah Wazed, prominent educationist, former Vice Chancellor of Dhaka University, Chairman of BSS Professor Doctorate Emazuddin Ahmed says, the movement Chhatrobondhu is leading for the bright future of the students is second to none. Shikkhar Maan Songrokkhon O Nokol Protorodh Andolon is a superb gift for the whole nation.

---------We find the reflection of success of the movement of Chhatrobondhu Miah Abdullah Wazed in the Board Examinations nowadays. Because of the fact that we do not find the former phenomenon of Unfair means Festival in the Education centers, tendency to adopting unfair means among students has been reduced among the students remarkably. The guardians have been found more aware to their children than before. The students have become more interested in their studies. The teachers even have become more careful to teaching their students, paying more attention to them. In total, we find a positive influence of Miah Abdullah Wazed's social movement throughout the whole nation. Prominent and good citizens of the country have evaluated and inspired Miah Abdullah Wazed by conferring him the title 'Chhatrobondhu'. "-----Miah Abdullah Wazed thinks that educated mothers can build the career of their children, and that's why he says, 'Ma-- build up your children as real human beings.' He thinks that man is born as a human being but humanity develops in a man by education. In addition to institutional education, a man develops his humanity and makes himself a proper man by taking education through social interaction, through ages, through profession, through travel, but institutional education has no alternative. At present, disaster has fallen upon education system, tendency to unfair means is being noticed. So, to build up an educated nation a quality education is a demand of the time. In the recent years there was a tendency among students to adopt unfair means in any public examination as a special way to qualify in the examination which was popular among students. A trend to acquire qualification adopting unfair means assumed a great scale not only among the students but also among guardians and teachers of local schools and thus the society was pushed into dark ditch. It became an adventure among students to qualify themselves adopting unfair means.
The students and guardians hunted the information of which schools and colleges of which area could offer the best opportunity of unfair means if once admitted into and based upon the information they used to contact them for admission. In the eve of each examination, a huge uproar was heard regarding the institutions where the best opportunity of unfair means was offered. The mass media though tried to organize public opinion against this, it failed to do so. It was also reported that the neighbors of an examination hall engaged in factions with the law enforcing agencies to press home their illigal demand of unfair means. They nearly forgot that unfair means is a crime. -----
